Oh, so very exciting!!!

I have my very own Stampin' Up! website & online shop. So now you can order Stampin' Up! products from me, online 24/7!

No more MeetUp for classes, or emailing me for orders. Just pop on to my SU site to find my events and to shop. I'll also be moving my blog there soon... as soon as I figure out how!

Want to check it out, then take a look here. The only shop link I've found that works at the min is on the promotions page. I'll be contacting the powers that be tomorrow about that, but in the meantime you can use the "Visit my online store" link on this page.

Henry Said

Well, May's card class was great fun. We used the very cute Henry Says stamp set from SU's Summer/Spring catalogue page 15. It's a great 13 piece set for all occasions.

We made 5 cards, for 5 different occasions. Here's "Santa Henry". The papers are also form the Spring/Summer catalogue ,and are Parker's Prints". A perfect set for scrapping boy layouts, as wells as making cards.

Next is "Birthday Henry", we used the Honeycomb embossing folder here.

Then we have our congratulations card. It's all paper pieced, Henry was stamped on to pattern paper, the bowler hat & banner on Very Vanilla card. The pieces were cut out stuck to the card, with Cherry Cobbler bakers twine tied round Henry's trunk.

Lastly we have the box, it's folded like a book with a pocket for the cards & envelopes.

I have a couple of the kits left over, so if you'd like to make these cards & box email me. The kit comes with all the card, pattern paper & bakers twine you need to complete the project along with instructions and costs £15 including postage.

Swallowtail

I thought it was time I shared my sister's birthday card, using the gorgeous Swallowtail stamp from Stampin' Up!

I coloured the stamp with Rich Razzleberry, Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango & Summer Starfruit. You have to give it a couple of huff s to reactivate the ink, then stamp. I did this twice, on two pieces of card, cutting round the second one and sticking him down in the centre only.

I hope you like him!

Secret Garden Card Class

Now that this month's card class has been & gone I thought I'd share the cards & box with you.

All the cards used the Secret Garden stamp set & dies, from the Spring/Summer catalogue.

Along with Print Poetry designer series paper stack. I love these stacks we're seeing in the seasonal catalogues from Stampin' Up. There are 48 sheets of double sided papers, 4 of each in 12 designs. They are perfect card making size at 11.4cm x 16.5cm, just a little bigger than an A6 card blank and cost just £6.25!

In the class we used Midnight Muse stitched satin ribbon, but when making my samples I didn't have any so I used Night of Navy grosgrain.

Each of the cards also had a Rhinestone Basic Jewel or 3 somewhere.

You could use any sentiments you have for the cards. As last month we used the Oh, Hello set I decided to incorporate it for those who purchased it. I also used the Labels Collection Framelits dies on cards 4 & 5.

Then there is the box, it's a flip top box to hold five A6 cards & five C6 envelopes. As most of the box tutorials on line are for US/Canadian sized cards I decided to start from scratch and designed my own template for this box. I'd seen the box on Pinterest, so knew the shape I wanted, it was just a case of working out the dimensions and how to put it together.

If you'd like to make these cards & the box, you can buy the kit here, and can order the stamp set, dies and any other tools you might not have to add to the kit by emailing me.

Been Scrappin'

I've been seeing a lot of divided page or Project Life style scrapbook layouts about recently. I've wanted to give it a go since Stampin' Up! brought out the divided scrapbook pages in the 2012 -2013 Annual catalogue.

My friend Catherine gave it a go recently, and is doing a class for our little group of crafty friends next month. I can't wait!

So I bought a set of divided pages with my last order, and also bought a kit from Cal. When I was looking for photos to go with Cal's kit the photos by the pool from our Spain 2011 holiday went perfectly, so I decided this is going to be my Spain scrapbook.

And here is page 1. It's a few of the photos from when we all met up in the airport. The papers, ribbon & buttons are from Sale-A-Bration, so no longer available, but the pages are along with many co-ordinating products.

Right off to finish pages 2 & 3.

Time for something a little different

I have a group of very talented crafty friends. We all have different styles and comfort zones, mine is not inky, arty & painty. Jackie, Catherine, Kathie & Diane on the other hand are very comfortable with messy hands!

Jackie brought her new doll stamps with her to Cal's 2 Day Spring Crop. Jackie does amazing She Art, which I love the look of, but never tried. I loved the doll images and had to have a play.

Here's the result!

I stamped the doll and, using Stampin' Write Markers, I coloured her in. Her hair is Early Espresso, Soft Suede & Crumb Cake. Her dress is Rose Red, Melon Mambo & Regal Rose. I used Blush Blossom for her skin and finished off with a row of Pearls Basic Jewels for her belt.

I used a hammered piece of white card from Catherine for the background. This was stamped with 3 different background stamps. All over first of all in Certainly Celery, then randomly stamped in Lucky Limeade, followed by the wavy stamp in Always Artichoke. I brayered with the Always Artichoke around the edge to frame the background.

Diane felt it looked a little masculine so I drew a little Whisper White craft ink all over with a re-inker bottled spread this about in 2 corners, which muted it all down a little.

I just got myself some of the Stampin' Up! Doilies, so coloured one with Lucky Limeade. Cal suggested cutting the baby wipe I'd used to clean the ink from the stamps to cut flowers. SO out came Cal's Big Shot & dies.

To put it all together I cut the doll image out, stuck the doily then the flowers down and positioned the doll. I finished it all off with a large Rhinestone in the centre of the baby wipe flowers!

So, I can do messy apparently!
