Free Stamps!

Oh it's finally here, one of my favourite times in the Stampin' Up! calender... Sale-A-Bration 2011!

If you have only found Stampin' Up! in the last 10 months then Sale-A-Bration (SAB) will be new to you, but I promise you are going to love it!

When else can you earn free, exclusive stamp sets which are not available to buy? Oh yes that's right, FREE & Exclusive! You will not see these in the Stampin' Up! catalogue... ever. They are only available during the Sale-A-Bration period and once Sale-A-Bration is over that's it!

I loved SAB 2010 stamp sets, and you'll probably notice I sometimes still use them, but I have to admit I love SAB 2011 even more... we even get a sneak peak of something coming in the Mini catalogue, see if you can guess what it is!

I really need to stop going on about how much I love SAB and tell you how to get your hands on the free sets, and a little about today's card.

Today's card is using a colour combination from the Stampin' Up! Colour Coach, a great tool for matching and combining colours (122228 £13.50). I've used In Colors Peach Parfait, Concord Crush and Pear Pizazz, with a dash of Poppy Appeal for the heart. The pattern paper is the In Color Hostess level 1 6" x 6" paper stack, free with product orders, and workshops product sales of £150 and over.

And the stamps... well the owls are from the SAB set 'Punch Bunch', which has 5 stamps to co-ordinate with 5 Stampin' Up! punches, yes I said 5 a little hint as to what is coming in the Mini (I'll say no more). The sentiment is from another SAB set 'So Happy For You', this has 5 sentiments and 5 little embellishment stamps.

So to get your hands on any of the 4 sets available during Sale-A-Bration you need to do one of 2 things:
  • Spend £45 (product sales before shipping and handling) and earn one free Sale-A-Bration set of your choice . You choose 1 set for every £45 in a single order.
  • Host a workshop of at least £300 (product sales before shipping and handling), and earn one free Sale-A-Bration set in addition to the generous hostess benefits.
If you host a workshop of £300 or more which includes your own purchase of £45 then that is 2 stamp sets, clear as mud?

So what are you waiting for, email me your postal address for a free copy of the Sale-A-Bration leaflet (UK residents only), which includes images of the stamp sets and some great inspiration for using them or download the online copy here.

If you live in or around Warrington, Cheshire then contact me for information on holding a Stampin' Up! home workshop.

If you don't have a copy of the Stampin' Up! 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalogue then click the 'Buy It Now' button on the left to get yours for only £3.95 (rrp £5.95, UK residents only).

That's all for today, keep an eye out for upcoming posts featuring more from the SAB sets!

    Me again!

Found the charger and charged the camera battery, so here is the layout I was telling you about earlier.

I've used Sunny Garden papers from Stampin' Up! with Daffodil Delight and In Color Pear Pizzazz. My old neglected Quickutz got another outing for this one!

    Merry Christmas!

As I'm working tomorrow and then off to my sister's house for Christmas dinner and the general festivities, I thought I'd better pop on now.

I have got a scrapbook layout to share with you... however, the battery has gone in my camera and I can't remember where I put the spares and charger 'for safe keeping'. Hopefully I'll find it later as I need it tomorrow afternoon!

In the meantime, the sketch I used for the layout is Number 62 from Inspired Blueprints, a great site I found yesterday whilst blog hopping, I've scrapped the pictures from my cousin's wedding in the summer... bet you can't wait for me to find that battery now!

    December Colour Challenge

I'm sorry this is a little late, with everything going on recently and getting ready for Christmas I am a little behind!

With Christmas 2010 fast approaching and pictures from Christmas 2009 still needing scrapping I thought I would give you a layout as my take on this month's colour combo!

I've used Speciality DSP from Stampin' Up! which is only available with the 'Welcome Christmas' bundle, which you can only get up to 29th December. The gorgeous papers are 'Christmas cocoa' and are the inspiration for this month's combo.

There are 2 flock designs in the pack of 12 pattern papers, and I've cut the large flocked snowflake from one of the sheets as a mat for my photo of my brother and one of our nieces.

I've used a great sketch from Creative Scrappers as the base for this layout.

Some close ups to show off the bling...

And 'Delightful Decorations' stamp set with the ornament and boho blossoms punches.

Lots of lovely littl snowflakes using my neglected Quickutz and dies I have had for years but never used!

My journalling tabs are using the word window punch.
Now the Colour Combo... It's using Sahara Sand, Soft Suede and Real Red... yummy!

You don't have to use the Stampin' Up colours above, but try to match them as close a possible.

Upload you entry to your blog and link back to this post, then add the link to your post NOT your blog to the linky tool at the bottom of this post.

You can upload to an online gallery (remember to add your link to the comments section here though) or email your entry to me.

Thanks for stopping by, more tomorrow!

    P.A.R.T.Y

Sorry for the long absence, we said our last goodbyes to my mother-in-law today and it's time to start to move on and try to get back to normality.

With that said I have finally made my card for this month's sketch challenge, which I posted last Friday and still has a week to go.

For my card I have used the new 'Party This Way' stamp set, as I fancied a break from making Christmas cards!

I've gone with Subtles this time using Marina Mist, Wild Wasabi, Rose Red and So Saffron. The balloons were stamped in each of the colours, and I also punched a scallop square in each. The balloons were mounted on 1 1/4" punched squares which fit perfectly in the scallop square... this is the punch I've waited for!

Hope you like it, and please play along!

    Sketch #3

Sorry I haven't been around this week. My mother-in-law had a heart attack on Sunday morning and sadly passed away Tuesday morning.

So in a fleeting five minutes between dashes over the Pennines to Yorkshire to visit, and now make arrangements I thought I would pop on and set this fortnight's sketch challenge.  I hope to get back on over the weekend to share my card for this sketch and also my other email entry for the colour challenge.

You can add you link to your blog entry (please make sure it's the post and not the whole blog) to the linky at the bottom of this post. If you don't have a blog you an email you entry to me.
