I really must iron my sheet before I take pictures against it LOL!
So this is my second In Love With Stamping, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Blog Hop, I'd like to thank all the SU demonstrators taking part, all 46 of them, and look forward to getting some inspiration as well as hopefully giving some!
Lets get the party started!
I am kicking off the 'Mini Blog Hop' which contains 3 loops for you to go round. There are 15 blogs in this loop & loop 2 and 16 blogs in loop 3. This is the start of loop 1, you'll find the start of loop 2 on Bekka's blog and Loop 3 on Carol's blog.
The products are all made using items from the brand new Mini Catalogue from Stampin' Up! which is out 1st April with most items only available to buy up until 30th September. In some cases other products currently available from the 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalogue will also be used and all the Stampin' Up! products are available to purchase. You can purchase form me by emailing hdingy@ntlworld.com.
Now you may not be starting at my blog, you may have started at someone else's along the hop and come to me from Victoria's blog, didn't you just love her project?
So on to my project... I've made the lovely little one draw organiser using the template available to purchase form Adela over on her blog Creations by AR. It has a draw for cards and a shelf for the envelopes.
Now I made a deliberate mistake (not!) and forgot to alter the size of the template for UK envelopes and it is a little short, so started the search for US sized envelopes. Thanks to Linz, a fellow SU demo I know through the forum In Love With Stamping I managed to get my hands on some she had spare.
The cards and organiser are all using papers from the brand new 'Sweet Pea' paper stack, Stampin' Up! Europe's first paper stack. I absolutely love this stack of 48 double sided papers in 24 different designs, so with them being double sided you still end up with 48 12" x 12" patterns!
As well as the number of papers you get and the superb quality I also love the range of colours in this stack, it's not the normal 3 or 4 colours you get in a standard 12 sheet pack. And the price!! Only £19.50, that's a value for money cost of 41p per sheet!!
Now the colours, each of my 7 cards are using a different base colour you will find in the stack.
The first card uses Old Olive and this card uses Pretty in Pink for the card blank made from an A4 sheet and trimmed to 8.5" x 5.5" and scored at 4.25" to make a 5.5" x 4.25" card base,a s per the US size.
For the organiser I used Chocolate Chip card from Stampin Up, using 5 sheets of A4, which is well worth the amount of card when you get the gorgeous little organiser! It is finished with some more of the paper stack and a Rhinestone Brad form my Stampin Up 'Pretties kit.
This card is using Pumpkin Pie for the base. I punched the Whisper White card using the Heart to Heart punch then I had a play using the pattern papers at a version of iris folding for a different finish.
The 4th card here is using Chocolate Chip for the base. The stamp set I'm using for all the cards is the brand new 'I {Heart} Hearts' stamp set. This card the heart is stamped in Rose Red and punched out with the 1 3/4" circle punch.
The Pretty in Pink card I have stamped the heart and punched it out using the Full Heart punch available till 31st March, it then won't be available till 1st October with the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalogue.
Sahara Sand base card here with the heart stamped in Chocolate chip and the little 'love' heart punched using the brand new Small Heart punch from the mini which is the new easy to store punch style, wait till you see it!
Rose Red base here with pattern paper made with randomly stamping different hearts from the set in Taken with Teal, Rose Red, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip.
Now this card & the Pretty in Pink card also uses 'Tiny Tags' the fantastic set of 17, yes, 17 stamps which fit perfectly into the new Medium Jewelry tag punch, which is so versatile!
And the last card, Taken with Teal base using the brand new Old Olive satin ribbon. The hearts are stamped in Taken with Teal and punched with the Heart to Heart punch.
So that's my project for you using 6 items form the new Mini catalogue. Want your copy of the mini then email your address to hdingy@ntlworld.com and I'll get one in the post along with a wish list!
Now, hop on over to Aurora's blog to take a look at her project then when you get back here take a look at loop 2 and 3 using the links at the start of my post.
Thanks for hopping by!
